Chief Assistant Prosecutor - Passaic County Prosecutor's Office

Mr. Christopher Freid serves as a Chief Assistant Prosecutor in the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. He has been part of that office since 1999. He works closely with and advises the Unit’s investigative team on child physical and sexual abuse cases. Additionally, he prosecutes these cases in court before juries. Prior to his service in Passaic County, Mr. Freid was an Assistant Prosecutor in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office where he was assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit. He is also an adjunct professor at Montclair State University’s Center for Child Advocacy and has held this position since 2005. Mr. Freid holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in the Bronx, New York and a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut.
