What is Refresher Training?

 

This training will review the content from the ChildFirst® forensic interview protocol. Refresher training will focus on the practical application of the Finding Words/Child First protocol in order to ensure that the interviewer has the skills needed to complete a competent Forensic Interview of a child abuse victim.

This training will be a 1-day, in-person session, that will be held as listed below.

Who can apply? 

​

Any law enforcement individual who has successfully completed the 5-day Forensic Interview Training course is eligible to apply for this Refresher Training. (Proof of completion will be required upon acceptance.)

​

Applicants must have had prior experiences with interviewing child abuse victims and will be asked to supply examples of questions or issues that they have encountered.

​

Applicants do not have to stay within their catchment area.
